She assumes that the man on the other end of the line is her boyfriend when he invites her out for a date. However she and Orion don’t get to investigate any further because the MC receives a phone call from someone named Ikkyu. So, after searching the room the MC discovers a student ID card and learns that she is a first year Psychology student. ![]() Review of Ikki’s Route Hottie with the Medusa EyesĪfter choosing the Spade World, the MC wakes up in her own room alone, without any of her memories. I was actually really disappointed by the MC in this game. I might need to play his route again to figure out if I like him or not.*Side Note: I will not have an MC/Heroine section in this review…I feel that there just isn’t enough about her to fill an entire section in this game. Ukyo I'm not even sure what to think about. Maybe if we'd gotten a bit more insight to why he became crazy enough to put the girl he loved in a cage, I'd have liked his character better. He was pretty interesting, but NOT a good romance option, or even a healthy one. That being said, he clearly regretted what he was doing and didn't expect to be forgiven for it. I know he just wanted to protect the heroine, but he went so far over the line that he probably deserves some sort of award for it (and that award should be several years of jail time). Shin seems like the kind of guy who's a great friend, but a terrible boyfriend. But Shin's route didn't even seem like a romance to me, to be honest. In Ikki's route, he managed to helped him and the heroine out quite a bit, and even helped them get past Ikki's rabid fangirls at one point. In Toma's route, he was the voice of reason who called Toma out for his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, which was incredibly satisfying. I liked Shin, but not as a love interest. They always seem like they're going to battle to the death over math problems, but they help each other out quite a bit. His friendship with Ikki was both heartwarming and hilarious. Kent was my second favorite I loved how awkward and logical he was. Even so, he was so sincere and sweet toward the heroine that I was cheering them on. He clearly felt terrible about how he'd been treating those girls, and he wasn't particularly fond of himself. I feel like most playboy types in otome have an attitude that they're justified in doing whatever (or whoever) they want, because they're hot stuff and they want to be loved. I was also surprised by how much I liked Ikki. So it's basically just Kent> Sawa>Ikki>Ukyo>Shin>Toma Ikki was refreshingly sweet though, he truly surprised me, I didn't know that I'd like him as much as I do. Ukyo was as cute as expected, though I thought I'd be more blown away by him. Shin was just meh, he's my anti-type but there was also not enough build in the relationship for me (except for the last scene in the good end & normal end), it felt more like he was trying to prove his masculinity rather than his love. The worst is that he was my type in every superficial way but god I hate yanderes. I also knew that I wouldn't like Toma so I was dreading his route all the way and felt awful all the way through. I found him "the most tolerable" when I watched the anime but now he's absolutely bae. With that in mind, I knew I'd like Kent but, oh man, words cannot express how much I love him, it's unreal. Well, I did watch the anime when it came out (2013) so I had some hazy memories about the characters and how they were. Out of all characters, I guess I like Waka and his ever changing personalities the most. I haven't played the 5th route yet, but I smell that I'll end up liking Ukyo the most. I really, really want to love him too but. I agree with OP about Toma, I liked him initially the most for no other reason than just feeling drawn to him till I got to his route which I played last out of 4 and which turned out to be COMPLETE MESS. ![]() Mine in Clover world even if she misunderstood who MC goes out with, Mine was so cute about it I was grinning) Shin's route didn't leave much impression on me, and I really love Ikki as a character, plus I liked both his good and neutral endings, but for some reason routes where MC gets bullied by rabid fans of their romantic interest turn me off. He's not my type at all and for obvious reasons one might not like him at the first moments of the game but it gets so much better later on, his route was so cute and fluffy I was puking rainbows. If you don't want to deal with crazy stuff then his route is definitely one to go to.
